New York, NY—May 14, 2021—Seward & Kissel counsel Danielle Lemberg has been named to Profiles in Diversity Journal’s 2021 Women Worth Watching list. The annual award honors women across the globe who are using their talents and influence to change their workplaces and communities.

As counsel in the firm’s Business Transactions Group, Danielle represents private equity and other investment management firms, private companies, and individual business owners, amongst other clients, in a range of business transactions, including mergers and acquisitions, private equity transactions, joint ventures, venture capital transactions, and seed transactions, in cryptocurrency-related transactions and investments, and in general corporate matters. In the last year, Danielle has contributed significantly to numerous M&A transactions, including the acquisition of Karpus Management, Inc. by London-based global fund manager City of London Investment Group PLC, and the acquisition of The Equine Network by Growth Catalyst Partners, a leading middle market private equity firm, among others.

Danielle is also the co-founder and head of the Seward & Kissel Women’s Initiative, which develops strategies for driving the promotion and retention of female lawyers at the firm. She provides support to her colleagues through firm trainings, networking and professional development events, collaborations with women leaders across law and business, and by advocating for relevant policy changes within the firm. She also hosts various events and panels on relevant topics of interest to women lawyers, including on how to build your brand. The initiative also supports firm efforts to hire talented women from peer firms and directly out of law school, a process Danielle is heavily involved in.
