Seward & Kissel LLP is seeking an experienced attorney (5+ years of experience) specializing in advising exchange-traded funds (ETFs). The candidate should have significant experience with (i) establishing and registering index-based ETFs and actively-managed, transparent ETFs as well as actively-managed, semi-transparent (or non-transparent) ETFs, (ii) negotiating service provider agreements for ETFs and (iii) interacting with the SEC staff with respect to registering and seeking exemptive orders for ETFs.
The firm has a number of ongoing projects relating to all forms of ETFs as well as upcoming business development opportunities.
The candidate will work with the partners in the firm’s registered fund group in Washington DC (Paul Miller and Bob Kurucza) and New York (Pat Poglinco).
The firm maintains competitive compensation arrangements and a flexible work schedule. Depending on the candidates level of experience, the candidate could serve as the firm’s primary ETF contact, with room to grow and establish a significant practice within the firm’s registered fund group (which is part of the firm’s investment management group, the largest practice group in the firm).
Salary: $365,000-$435,000/year
