Corporate Finance associate Sophia Agathis will moderate a panel titled, “Credit for Shipping – More Sources, Structures, Risks & Opportunities,” at Marine Money’s 24th Annual Ship Finance Forum in New York City on November 16, 2023.

The panel will focus on how in the year 2023, “private credit” overtook “venture capital” as the largest fundraising strategy, second only to private equity. It will also focus on how traditional sources still dominate the ship finance league tables, and back-leverage non-bank lenders, but alternative sources are finding success in the niches.

The annual forum brings together the global leaders driving ship finance to share what they are seeing in today’s market and discuss their plans for lending, borrowing, investing, buying and selling.
