Seward & Kissel Named a Finalist by M&A Advisor for 2012 Law Firm of the Year at its 11th Annual M&A Awards Gala

Seward & Kissel was named by The M&A Advisor as Finalist for the 2012 Law Firm of the Year award, and three transactions the Firm handled are Finalists in a number of Deal of the Year categories. The acquisition of S&K client Parfums de Coeur by Yellow Wood Partners is a Finalist for M&A Deal of the Year (Between $100mm and $250mm) and for Consumer and Retail Products Deal of the Year (Between $100mm and $500mm). The merger of S&K client Scan-Trans Holding A/S with Intermarine is a Finalist for M&A Deal of the Year (Between $10mm and $25mm), Cross-Border Deal of the Year (Between $10mm and $35mm) and Industrial Manufacturing/Distribution Deal of the Year (Between $10mm and $50mm). The Restructuring of General Maritime Corporation is a Finalist for Restructuring Deal of the Year (Over $100mm), Industrial Manufacturing/Distribution Deal of the Year (Over $200mm) and Energy Deal of the Year.

The M&A Advisor is a leading information publisher for mergers and acquisitions and finance and its M&A Advisor Awards honor the deal-teams and deal-makers that have closed M&A transactions each year and the firms whose activities set the standard for the M&A industry. Finalists for the 2012 awards were chosen in 52 categories from a pool of 423 nominees. The Awards will be announced at the 11th Annual M&A Advisor Awards Gala, which is being held on Tuesday, December 11, 2012 at the New York Athletic Club in New York City.
