Corporate Finance partner Sophia Agathis has been named to Private Debt Investor’s 2024 Rising Stars list. The annual list recognizes industry figures under the age of 40 who have demonstrated noteworthy leadership, innovation and dealmaking skills, and who PDI believes have the potential to shape the future of the asset class.

Sophia represents both lenders and borrowers in connection with debt financing and other credit transactions. She is described as having contributed significantly to the formal establishment of the firm’s private credit group, and for having pioneered transactions for private debt funds across an array of mid-market lending transactions.

Sophia’s recent mandates have included acting for direct lenders in a $122 million refinancing for an offshore energy support company listed on the New York Stock Exchange; a rescue financing for a distressed US-based pharmaceutical company; and a $30 million bridge loan secured by an equity stake in European football clubs.
