Bruce Paulsen, partner, was quoted in a New York Times article concerning a Court of Appeals argument in which he represented a private REIT owned in part by the New York Common Retirement Fund, which is the landlord of the office tower located at 380 Madison Avenue. The issue in the case is whether the insurance provisions in the lease require the tenant (and entity controlled by Sheldon Solow) to maintain insurance that does not exclude losses caused by terrorism. The case arose after 9/11.
