Kimberly Giampietro is counsel in the Global Banking and Corporate Trust Group.
Kim’s practice includes representation of financial institutions in their capacities as trustee, security trustee, administrative agent, collateral agent, collateral trustee, operating bank, cash manager, back-up servicer, owner trustee, grantor trust trustee, custodian, account bank and escrow agent. She has considerable experience representing clients in a broad array of securitizations, secured and unsecured lending facilities and bond issuances.
Among other types of secured transactions, Kim specializes in aviation finance structures. She advises clients in connection with structures, such as aircraft lease and aircraft engine lease financings, involving complex debt and equity components and significant on-going aircraft and aircraft engine portfolio management. She has significant experience with multi-jurisdictional collateral packages and related matters, as well as issues relating to the Cape Town Convention and Federal Aviation Administration requirements.
Additionally, Kim’s structured finance experience includes transactions backed by a diverse variety of asset classes, including residential and commercial mortgages, collateralized debt obligations, student loans, equipment leases, automobile receivables and consumer and marketplace loans.
Kim advises clients in connection with originations, as well as refinancings, redemptions, consent solicitations, resignations and successions. Her experience also includes representation of trustees, administrative agents, security trustees and collateral agents in connection with complex defaults and liquidations, including orderly liquidations and dissolutions approved by applicable courts or undertaken pursuant to statutory authority.
Kim received a B.A. from Stanford University and a J.D. from Georgetown University Law Center.
