Summary/Overview

The Senior Applications Analyst has the responsibility of maintaining and supporting a portfolio of applications. He/she has shared responsibility for the architecture, deployment, support, maintenance, and enhancement of Commercial-off-the-Shelf (COTS) and Software-as-a-Service (SaaS) applications.

This role primarily focuses on the Microsoft applications and common legal applications such as iManage, Litera, Adobe, etc. Additionally, he/she is responsible for planning and overseeing any technical development or application deployments being executed both internally and vendor led, as well as managing third-party vendor relationships.

CORE RESPONSIBILITIES

Conduct application management of Commercial-off-the-Shelf (COTS) and Software-as-a-Service (SaaS) applications that includes new solutions and enhancement to existing systems.

Collaborate with leadership and peers to plan, prioritize, and schedule application deployment and enhancement requests, while providing direction and guidance to junior staff.

Maintain a keen eye on the applications available in the legal space. Challenging the applications in use, ensuring the Firm is keeping pace with technology.

Continuously develop and maintain the upgrade roadmap for the Firm’s applications. Work with NetOps and Desktop Engineering to keep applications patched and operating on current and stable versions.

Accountable for availability and performance of the applications portfolio, including ownership of incidents, release, and problem management.

Drives stakeholder satisfaction by delivering quality applications and supporting with planned and controlled change management.

Own project roadmap and communicate project status to leadership and peers.

Partners with peers to ensure proposed solutions align with business, infrastructure, and security frameworks.

JOB REQUIREMENTS

Expert knowledge of Microsoft Office M365, and intermediate-to-expert knowledge of most legal applications: iManage Work 10, Litera Create, DocXTools, Templates and Numbering Suite, Adobe Acrobat. Experience with Elite 3E Cloud is a plus.

Candidates must have first-class customer service skills, and be able to effectively communicate with partners, associates, secretaries, and staff.

Proven experience in managing relationships with vendors/consultants, IT teams and internal stakeholders.

A passion for all things tech and a drive to experiment with new technologies to see where they can benefit the business.

Education & Experience:

BA/BS degree preferred, and 7+ years of relevant work experience. Excellent interpersonal, verbal, and written communication skills. Established project management skills.

Ability to problem-solve.

Willingness to be flexible with time and adjust to a changing work environment.

Ability to build and maintain positive relationships, both internally and externally, while maintaining a client service orientation.

Ability to use sound judgment and discretion in dealing with highly confidential information.

Demonstrated ability to work independently, organize and accurately prioritize work, be detail-oriented, understand when urgency is required and use good judgment in varied situations.

Ability to work effectively with co-workers in a team-oriented, collaborative environment.
