The winners of the 2013 ACG New York Champion’s Awards were revealed on June 21st at their 3rd Annual Awards Gala. The Awards, sponsored by the New York Chapter of the Association for Corporate Growth, recognize companies, individual dealmakers and transactions in the middle market mergers and acquisitions industry in the greater New York area. A transaction handled by Seward & Kissel was winner of ACG New York Deal of the Year in two categories:

Acquisition of Agrifos Fertilizer by Rentech Nitrogen Partners

Industrial Manufacturing and Distribution Deal of the Year

Corporate and Strategic Acquisition of the Year (Up To $250 mm)

Other Seward & Kissel transactions were also Finalists for ACG awards, including the Acquisition of a Minority Stake in Nephila Capital by KKR (for Financial Services Deal of the Year), Southern Cross Latin America’s Majority Investment in Ultrapetrol (for Energy Deal of the Year) and the Acquisition of Parfums de Coeur by Yellow Wood Partners (for Consumer Products Deal of the Year). In addition, Seward & Kissel was a Finalist for 2013 Law Firm of the Year.

Separately, the winners of Marine Money International’s 2012 Deal of the Year Awards for shipping industry transactions were also revealed on June 21st, and transactions handled by Seward & Kissel were winners in several categories, including:
