Seward & Kissel Partners Paul Clark and Marlon Paz to Teach FinTech & Social Media Regulations Course at UC Berkeley School of Law

Seward & Kissel is pleased to announce that Firm Partners Paul Clark and Marlon Paz will be teaching a course at the UC Berkeley School of Law. The course entitled “Regulation of New Technologies ─ FinTech & Social Media” will be held October 12-14 in Boalt Hall.

About the Course: This course will provide students with an analytic framework that can be applied to new financial products and methods of delivering information to the market. Students will review the application of existing federal and state laws to emerging “FinTech” products and services (e.g., mobile wallets, online lenders, RoboAdvisers). Responses of the regulators will be reviewed.
