Hiba Hassan is an associate in the Investment Management Group and is located in Seward & Kissel’s New York office. Hiba concentrates her practice on counseling investment funds, including mutual funds, closed-end funds, interval funds, tender offer funds, exchange-traded funds, and business development companies as well as registered investment advisers on a wide variety of regulatory, compliance, and corporate matters. Hiba also assists in counseling boards of directors on fund governance and fiduciary duties issues.
Hiba previously served as a judicial law clerk to the Honorable Christine M. Nugent at the Tax Court of New Jersey, and a legal extern at the Superior Court of New Jersey. Hiba received an LL.B. from the University of London and a J.D. from Rutgers Law School, where she served as an associate editor and business and symposium editor for the Rutgers Race & the Law Review Journal.
